What Remains
This series looks at the small/overlooked traces of human presence within domestic spaces through objects, arrangments and scattered forms that reflect everyday routines and rythyms. I began making these works after moving to the UK in winter, observing the light at dusk: blue skies and yellow light coming through windows suggesting small signs of life inside. In the paintings, I reversed these colours to depict the unfamiliarity of being in a new place. The compositions move between interior and landscape, unfolding slowly, much like the way a place becomes familiar over time.
